How to Create Animal Greeting Card For Kids

Updated: Nov 17, 2017

Little ways to get your guests excited in your animal theme kid's party.

So you've planned the programme of your safari party, check out our animal design card, and are

ready to make one and deliver the invitation card? Wait a minute! We're passionate scrapbook believers that a scrapbook project is captivating when it's done via scrapbook paper pad.

Sure, you could buy separate card stocks and patterned papers, but why not save your headache on picking the right paper and enjoy the card-making process? A typical scrapbook paper pad has cleverly combined the patterned, coloured papers that coordinate with each other, to help you make a fascinating project. (if you struggle with colours coordination for your paper project)

Plus these brands scrapbook paper pad always couple with their own pretty embellishments to create that impressive look. (this is recommended for novice in doing scrapbook project)

We used We R Memory Keeper paper packs for our animal card-making, but you can use any collection of paper to suit your project. Our cute animal embellishments were printed by the laser printer. I like the cute animal clipart that is available at freepik.

The card draws from an idea of animals that are having fun at their home - tree truck. That's how the window facade idea came about. The window facade may look challenging, however, the tags die-cut simplifies the process. And, finally, embellish the elements and stickers on the card using tape and foam adhesive.

Have you started creating your invitation card? You can follow our procedure and turn our idea into yours today. We love to see your lovely projects on Instagram by using #scrapbookingjoy

Scrapbook materials that are needed:

  • 2 sheets of 12" X 12" We R Memory keepers Paper Pad

  • Mambi Sticks Happy Birthday Sticker Sheet (Celebrate)

  • Mambi Sticks Romance Sticker Sheet (alphabet)

  • Leaves Die Set

  • Diamond Press Tags Die Set

  • Sizzx Big Shot Machine

  • Foam Adhesive

  • Brown Ribbon

How to make a die-cut animal greeting card?

1. Use dark brown patterned paper as the card base.

2. Cut the card base vertically to measure 6.5" (W) X 10.5" (H). Fold it into half to form the card.

3. Cut a piece of the camel brown paper to measure 5" (W) X 4.5" (H).

4. Leave a 1.5" top margin and place the tags die-cut on the extreme left edge.

5. Die-cut 3 similar tags in a row.

6. Adhere the camel brown patterned paper to the card base with a 0.5 cm border at each side.

7. Embellish with the stickers, adhering the window facade with foam adhesive for dimension.

Happy Creating!
